Windrose drops you right in the middle of a savage, alternate Age of Piracy. Survival, discovery, and brutal fights are everywhere—on land and at sea. You’re a captain with nothing to lose, out to take on Blackbeard himself.

What starts as a quest for payback quickly turns into something bigger, dragging you into the chaos of clashing empires, ruthless pirate crews, and eerie supernatural forces lurking just beneath the surface.

The world’s massive, unpredictable, and dangerous. Every time you set sail or step ashore, you’ll find new islands, shifting biomes, hidden secrets, or one of over a hundred dungeons designed by hand. Scavenge resources, build anything from a simple hideout to an entire fortress, and grow your settlement by bringing in NPCs who can help with everything from crafting to production.

Out at sea, the action ramps up fast. Sometimes you’re firing cannons from a distance, other times you’re closing in and leaping onto enemy decks, knives drawn. It all moves smoothly from ship combat to bloody brawls. Your ship isn’t just transport—it’s your home and your last line of defense. You can tweak it endlessly, turning it into a swift raider or packing it with guns for all-out war.

On land, the fighting stays fierce and flexible. Switch between blades and pistols on the fly, dodge and parry, and chain your moves for real impact. With tons of gear, abilities, and weapons, you get to shape your own fighting style, then face off against tough bosses and haul in rare loot.

You can go it alone or bring your crew for co-op adventures—thanks to the procedural generation, every trip feels fresh. HOW TO DOWNLOAD

Once The Windrose is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to Windrose ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the Windrose folder and run the exe application.
Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
