GAME OVERVIEW

FLAW is a first-person shooter with a strong throwback vibe, built for anyone who misses the golden age of shooters like Unreal, Half-Life, or Halo. The game tosses you into a gritty future and casts you as a colonist whose dream of a fresh start goes downhill fast.

It all kicks off on the Flaming Dawn, a ship loaded with hopeful passengers heading for the Outer Rim. Then, out of nowhere, disaster hits: hostile forces board the ship. You get dragged off, beaten, left for dead—and wake up in a prison on some unknown planet. Alone and hurt, far from home, your only shot is to survive, break out, and figure out what’s really going on. SWAPMEAT

You’ll wander through the sprawling prison and into a harsh industrial hive-world, where the halls are crawling with danger. Hostile creatures, deadly enemies, twisted remnants of other prisoners—the place keeps you on edge. Every corner throws something new at you, forcing you to stay sharp as you dig deeper into the planet’s secrets.

Combat is fast and fierce, exactly like old-school shooters. You have to scavenge weapons from defeated enemies and keep a close eye on your ammo—supplies are tight, so you’ll need to pick your battles or get creative. Sometimes, fighting isn’t the best move. Sometimes, survival means saving your bullets and finding another way out.

Along your journey, you’ll run into other survivors from the Flaming Dawn. Most aren’t soldiers—they’re just regular folks in over their heads—but teaming up can make all the difference. Pulling together a group not only helps you fight your way out, but reminds you there are real lives on the line.

Escaping is just the beginning. As you search for answers, you start to uncover a tangled mystery behind all the abductions happening across the Outer Rim. Every clue draws you deeper, and the truth lurking in the shadows is far worse than you expect.

FLAW blends moody sci-fi storytelling with punchy, classic-style FPS action, a bit of resource management, and plenty of exploration. You’ll scrape and claw your way through impossible odds, try to save whoever you can, and stare down a fate most don’t survive. And in the process, you’ll unearth the ugly secrets hiding in this deadly corner of the galaxy.

Once The FLAW is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to FLAW ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the FLAW folder and run the exe application.
Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
