GAME OVERVIEW

Oceaneers throws you right into a world that’s almost entirely underwater, where hanging on means making the most of a few stranded survivors. There’s barely any land left, so your new home is a patchwork of floating islands, held together with strange tech called Float-Tech.

You start small—gathering whatever resources you can find, scavenging drifting supplies, and trying to turn rickety platforms into something that actually feels like a settlement. Every little island matters. Some are unstable and sinking, and it’s on you to haul them back, fix them up, and add them to your growing base.

You’ve got to deal with waste piling up, food spoiling, and random messes you never saw coming. If you want any hope of making it long-term, you’ll have to farm, cook, and plan carefully just to scrape by. Petro Hunter

But building is only part of the job. Keeping your people alive is a whole other challenge. Food, water, and basic care are just the start.

Exploration is huge in Oceaneers. You can send your survivors out on makeshift rafts to check out distant locations. Sometimes you even hop into their shoes yourself, poking around new climates, searching for rare resources, and digging up hidden secrets. You’ll stumble on old bunkers, weird technology, and maybe piece together bits of a bigger story.

As your colony grows, you unlock new research—better tools, machines, and upgraded Float-Tech—so you can push your settlement even further. Survivors each have their own traits and skills, and you get to customize your crew to match how you want to play.

And yeah, the ocean isn’t exactly friendly. Bad storms, hungry sharks, giant crabs, and thieving birds all see your floating home as a nice snack. So you’ll have to reinforce your defenses and keep a close eye on those threats.

It’s all about balancing strategy, survival, and exploration, with a story pulling you in at every turn. Oceaneers hands you the reins: how you build, what you risk, and how you survive when every scrap of land is precious—that’s all up to you.

Once The Oceaneers is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to Oceaneers ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the Oceaneers folder and run the exe application.
Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
