You’re Jack Pepper, an ex-soldier turned private eye trying to survive in Mouseburg, a city that’s about as rough as they come. What starts off as finding a missing person doesn’t stay simple for long. Before you know it, you’re wading through the muck—crime, corruption, even murder.

You’ll switch between all sorts of ridiculous, cartoon-inspired weapons—think rapid-fire tommy guns, exploding gadgets, stuff that’d make a real detective blink. Pick up power-ups and upgrades as you go; you’ll need every edge you can get, especially when a boss comes crashing onto the screen.

Mouseburg’s a place you’ll want to poke around in. One minute you’re creeping through alleys, the next you’re blasting your way through a film studio or dodging danger in the flooded sewers. Secret rooms, collectibles, bonus cases—they’re everywhere.

Plus, it isn’t all flat-foot pavement: you’ve got tricks like wall-running, grappling, or double-jumping to zip around and keep things moving fast.

It all hangs together with a punchy jazz soundtrack and those snappy visuals, wrapping the action up in a proper noir package.
