GAME OVERVIEW

Forts: Firebird is the third big DLC for Forts, and it shakes things up with a whole set of lightning-based tech, fresh weapons, a new commander, its own campaign, extra maps, a redesigned HUD, and a new soundtrack. It builds on the game’s signature physics-driven strategy, giving you exciting ways to both attack and defend. Basically, there’s a lot more room to experiment—or outwit your enemies.

You get ten campaign missions here, each tied together with graphic novel-style cutscenes. Missions introduce you to new mechanics and weapons step by step, so you pick up Firebird’s unique systems as you play. When you need a break from the story, twenty new maps are ready for skirmishes and multiplayer showdowns. ALARIC

You also get the Zapper—a charge-up weapon that basically fries anything out in the open, chaining lightning between targets. And then there’s Rods From God, which is as dramatic as it sounds: an orbital strike raining destruction from above. Backing these weapons is the Smelter building, which churns out special ammo and powers your advanced gear.

Besides all the gameplay upgrades, you’re in for a visual treat—a new Firebird-themed interface and a dynamic soundtrack that shifts as the action heats up. The music makes each fight feel more intense and alive.

Just a heads-up: some of the Water Tech systems you’ll see in specific Firebird campaign missions are locked to those missions. For full access to Water Tech, you’ll need the High Seas DLC.

Once The Forts – Firebird is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to Forts – Firebird ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the Forts – Firebird folder and run the exe application.
Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
