GAME OVERVIEW
The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince opens with a tragic mistake in a haunted forest—a wolf, acting on instinct, accidentally blinds a prince. That’s where things start, and it’s honestly a gorgeous mess of a story.
The game first showed up on consoles, but now, as of March 11, 2026, it’s finally landed on Steam. Nippon Ichi Software put this together: a 2D puzzle adventure where you guide a blind prince through a world that’s as dangerous as it is beautiful.
You play as the wolf, who’s eaten up with guilt and desperate to fix what she’s done. She trades her singing voice to a forest witch, and in return, she gets to take on the shape of a princess. It’s the only way she can safely lead the prince through the woods, searching for a cure to bring back his sight. Galactic Vault
The real heart of the game? It’s all about guiding and protecting the prince. As the Princess, you hold his hand, help him dodge traps, and give him simple directions so he can help solve puzzles. But the catch is, you’re fragile in this form.
When things get hairy, you have to let go, turn back into the Wolf, and use brute strength—jumping to high places, hauling heavy stuff, or fighting off the forest’s weird, twisted monsters. The whole time, the prince is terrified of the monster that blinded him, so you have to keep your secret, even as you grow closer.
The visuals are wild—think hand-drawn, old storybook vibes, all sepia and shadows, as if you’ve stepped right into a lost fairytale. Now that it’s on PC, you get the full experience: smooth performance, a deal on launch, and all the little details that make this story hit even harder.
Whether you’re hunting for petals to unlock sketches and secrets, or piecing together the Witch’s Tale, The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince nails that bittersweet, atmospheric storytelling. Sometimes, the biggest sacrifices don’t make a sound.
