Step into Before Fate, a survival adventure that throws you into the heart of a retro sci-fi universe, all wrapped up in bold, comic-inspired visuals. The game doesn’t just move you through space—you’ll leap across worlds by diving into strange portals, ending up in wild places full of threats and secrets. One minute, you’re ducking the heat in a dusty desert.

The next, you’re creeping through a forest that feels more haunted than alive. There’s always something new out there, and every step forward brings a fresh challenge, all pushing you to find out what really happened during an interstellar disaster.

Right in the middle of all this chaos is the mystery of the Chrono Gem. You play as Ian Stewart, a scientist working with the Aude Research Institute and its head, Abel Morrison. Together, you’re trying to figure out where things went wrong. The story isn’t something the game dumps on you at once. You peel it back layer by layer—exploring, fighting, and picking up clues as you wander deeper into a collapsing universe.

Interacting with the environment feels clever but natural, so it keeps your brain just as busy as your hands. No two runs feel the same. Every expedition surprises you, nudging you to try new tactics and keep poking around for what’s next.

Art-wise, Before Fate really makes an impression. Everything looks hand-drawn, crammed with color and detail, like you just stepped into a sci-fi comic from the past—except it all moves and breathes. There’s a real sense of nostalgia, a nod to those wild, ambitious illustrations from the 70s and 80s, but with a sharp, modern edge.

In this world, humans and robots live side by side, but a mysterious meteor is about to wreck that peace. The Nexus—this weird crossroads where time and space get tangled—hides the answers you’re after. Only by jumping between these unpredictable realities can you figure out what’s really going on and decide if you’ll stop the coming disaster, or end up lost inside it.
