GAME OVERVIEW
Rikua drops you straight into neon-lit streets where the future looks gritty and dangerous. Honestly, it’s more than just twitchy combat—you’re constantly pulled between tough choices, both moral and personal.
Stiff Ballerina released the game just two days ago, on March 17, 2026, launching it into Steam Early Access. This isn’t your typical indie action game; Rikua packs a “triple-perspective” combat system that’s as wild as it sounds.
You play as Rikua—a rookie with the Anti-Mechanical Special Unit, or A.M.S.U.—chasing rogue AI through a city packed with corporate secrets and hints at a tangled backstory. AI.VI
The heart of the gameplay? It tosses you quickly between three styles: you get side-scrolling platforming for those fast runs, flip right to third-person shooting when you need precision, and zoom out to isometric brawling for those big tactical fights.
The roguelite setup means every time you fail a mission, you start over in your home base, chatting with quirky “Digital Pantones” who teach you new moves, unlock fresh gear, and drop hints about the so-called Mechanical War.
Stick with it, win a few rounds, and you rack up credits to buy upgrades or snag boons from mysterious sponsors. Before long, you’re shaping Rikua into exactly the kind of AI hunter you want—ready for epic boss battles.
Right now, Rikua’s only on PC through Steam, and the Early Access phase is set to run for about a year or so while developers flesh out the story and toss in new environments.
The current build shows off tight controls that really reward you if you can master switching between all three combat styles. As you climb the ranks of A.M.S.U., the game keeps pushing you to ask: Are you really a hero, or just another piece in a bigger, scarier puzzle?
HOW TO DOWNLOAD
- Click the Download button below and you’ll be redirected.
- Wait for 5 seconds and then hit the blue ‘download now’ button. The download will start, so just hang tight.
- Once The Rikua is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to Rikua ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
- Open the Rikua folder and run the exe application.
- Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
