Xegrader isn’t your typical action shooter—it’s a wild mix of fast-paced combat, puzzle-solving, and old-school exploration. Sure, you’ll blast your way through tons of monsters using some seriously powerful weapons.

But if you want to win, you’ll need more than just brute force. Every stage is packed with hidden passages, weird ancient machines, and clever puzzles. Figure them out, and you help bring balance back to a world swallowed up by darkness.

The game drops you into a gorgeous high-fantasy kingdom that’s seen better days. After darkness sweeps in, the place is crawling with slimes, kobolds, zombies, vampires—pretty much every creepy creature you can imagine. DOOM: The Dark Ages

You pick whether you want to be a male or female warrior and head out on an adventure full of danger, secrets, and those thrilling “aha!” moments when you stumble across something awesome.

Xegrader does things differently from most action games. Instead of grinding away just to level up, you get stronger by tracking down hidden secrets all over the map. The game even comes with two DLC “retro editions”: an MSX2 version with old-school graphics and PSG audio, plus a PC-8001mkII ORIGIN edition featuring four-color visuals and vintage BEEP sounds. Xegrader runs smooth on Steam Deck, so you can dive into this nostalgic yet fresh experience anytime, anywhere.

Once The XeGrader plus is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to XeGrader plus ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the XeGrader plus folder and run the exe application.
Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
