GAME OVERVIEW

We’re just a small indie studio made up of two guys who love video games, especially horror games with dinosaurs. So, we decided to make our own Any feedback you have is totally welcome, and it’ll help us improve – especially for future games we’re working on!

Unknown Tapes is a horror game that uses the found footage style to tell a survival story set in a modern world overrun by dinosaurs We’re going for realism and took inspiration from classics like Dino Crisis and Outlast. Thief Simulator 2

The story will unfold over about 2-3 hours, from start to finish.

You’ll be hunted by dinosaurs, and to survive, you’ll need to hide, stay quiet, and sometimes get clever. Big dinosaurs can destroy buildings, so don’t always count on being safe inside.

The game mostly takes place at night, and you’ll explore both outdoor and indoor areas, some of which might feel super claustrophobic.

We’ve used photogrammetry and Unreal Engine 5’s power to recreate super-detailed urban environments Ever wondered what it would be like to walk through a town taken over by dinosaurs?

And get this – thanks to the mic feature, dinosaurs can hear your voice when you talk or yell in real life. They’ll react based on what they hear!

We also used cutting-edge photogrammetry tech to bring real-world objects and environments into the game. A lot of what you see actually exists in real life!

HOW TO DOWNLOAD

Click the Download button below and you’ll be redirected.
Wait for 5 seconds and then hit the blue ‘download now’ button. The download will start, so just hang tight.
Once The Unknown Tapes is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to Unknown Tapes ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the Unknown Tapes folder and run the exe application.
Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
