The Mound is a cooperative horror adventure for up to four players that sends you deep into a cursed jungle filled with ancient mysteries, hidden treasures, and terrifying Lovecraftian creatures. Every expedition is a dangerous gamble as you and your team venture further into the wilderness, hoping to uncover the legendary riches buried within The Mound while surviving the horrors that lurk in the darkness.

One of the game’s defining features is its psychological madness system, inspired by the unsettling worlds of H.P. Lovecraft. As your expedition progresses, the jungle begins to manipulate your senses, causing hallucinations, distorted sounds, and unsettling visions. Reality slowly becomes impossible to trust, making it difficult to tell the difference between genuine threats and illusions. Before each expedition, your crew gathers aboard a galleon to prepare for the journey ahead. You’ll accept contracts from the captain, equip weapons and supplies, divide resources among the team, and decide which region of the jungle to explore. Choosing to push deeper into unexplored territory offers greater rewards but also introduces more dangerous enemies, harsher environments, and stronger psychological effects.

Once you enter the jungle, communication becomes essential. Using spatial voice chat, players must coordinate their movements, share discoveries, and react quickly to unpredictable threats. Along the way, you’ll discover abandoned forts that can be restored as future expedition starting points by recovering their lost logbooks, making each successful journey contribute to long-term progression.

As you explore further into the cursed wilderness, you’ll encounter strange creatures, forgotten ruins, and increasingly disturbing mysteries surrounding the legendary Mound itself. Blending cooperative survival, exploration, psychological horror, and risk-versus-reward gameplay, The Mound delivers a tense adventure where teamwork, careful planning, and keeping your sanity intact are just as important as finding the treasure.
