GAME OVERVIEW

The Gretlow Tapes is a short horror game — like an hour and a half tops — but it totally messes with your head. It’s first-person, super atmospheric, and you don’t get any weapons or anything. Just you and your camera, exploring this sketchy abandoned house called Gretlow.

The whole thing’s got that found-footage vibe — grainy visuals, creepy sound design, and the kind of silence that makes you keep checking behind you.

It takes place in a small town up in Northern England, in the year 2000. You play as a uni student who’s into photography, and you’ve been seeing weird rumors online about this house just outside of town. Melted Valor

Apparently, some woman died there in a super violent way, and people say her ghost still roams around. Classic urban legend stuff… until people actually start going missing.

The whole game’s seen through your camera lens. You take photos, collect evidence, and sometimes it even lets you interact with old memories stuck in the house.

Every little sound makes you second-guess yourself, and the house itself? unsettling. Feels like something’s always watching you, but never actually shows itself. Until maybe it does.

It’s not some action-packed survival thing — it’s more slow-burn, tense, and really gets under your skin.
