GAME OVERVIEW

Darkness keeps closing in, and the small fire you carry is the only thing standing between you and despair. You’re the Guardian, wandering alone through a world on its last legs.

Your job? Keep the last embers burning. It’s just you, your weapons, your instincts, and your loyal dog pushing through hostile territory, fighting to reignite lost flames and hold back the creatures waiting in the shadows.

Your camp is home base. If you want to last, you spend your days there—making ammo, reinforcing defenses, turning whatever scraps you find into tools. You tell your crew where to go—send some out hunting, let others scavenge, put a few on watch. Blood Reaver

As you keep going, you’ll meet merchants willing to trade new gear, skills, and traps, if you’ve got something to offer. A watchtower helps you spot trouble before it’s on top of you, but honestly, every little choice matters. When night arrives, there’s no second chance.

That’s when things get real. Once the sun’s gone, monsters close in fast, drawn straight to your flame. You have to hold them off, using everything you’ve got—guns, gadgets, whatever upgrades you’ve managed to put together. Tweak your gear, unlock new perks, and don’t hold back with your strongest attacks. If that fire dies, so do you.

Every run teaches you something. Even when you fail, you still inch forward—unlocking new upgrades, weapons, skills, and tricks for your dog back at the hub. Little by little, you get tougher, smarter, better prepared for whatever comes next.

Exploring is just as important as defense. You’ll have to head out into old, dangerous places hunting for supplies. That means thinking ahead—picking your gear, double-checking what you’ll need to make it back in one piece. Time’s always ticking. If you don’t get home before dark, you risk losing everything.

In the end, the flame means more than just staying alive. It’s your hope, your job, your reason to keep going. Protect it, no matter what.

Once The The Ember Guardian is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to The Ember Guardian ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the The Ember Guardian folder and run the exe application.
Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
