GAME OVERVIEW

Settlements Rising is a city-building and colony management sim set in medieval times. The game dives deep with tons of professions and resources for you to play around with. Each profession has villagers with their own animations and work cycles, making your colony feel alive. You can micromanage everything—trade, limited resources, production chains, and more.

Villagers have their own life cycles and can work in over 35 different jobs. They’ve got needs like hunger, energy, health, and warmth when they get hungry, they eat, and when they run out of food, they go buy more. If their energy dips from working or in the cold, they head home to rest. They’re born, grow up, get educated, and eventually age and pass away, gaining experience and character traits along the way. At certain points, you’ll get a random set of cards to choose from that can help you out these enhancement cards are single-use, but you can save them for future games, so you can start your next playthrough with a few of them.

You can earn gold through mining, trading, and raiding. Traders swing by your village regularly to buy and sell resources, with prices that vary, so you can buy low and sell high. You can also build trading ships to manage resources and trade with neighboring villages based on what they need.

Set up exploration ships for missions to earn rewards like gold, resources, or enhancement cards, depending on the mission’s risk.

But as your village grows, raiders will start attacking to steal your stuff. To defend yourself, build towers and walls, and train villagers as archers or swordsmen to protect your resources for a salary.

Once The Settlements Rising is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to The Settlements Rising ” (You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the The Settlements Rising folder and run the exe application.
Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
