GAME OVERVIEW
When Nazi Germany broke its pact with the Soviets and kicked off Operation Barbarossa in 1941, Hitler’s generals thought they’d steamroll the Red Army. They didn’t. Instead, the Eastern Front became a nightmare—years of savage fighting, millions dead, and in the end, the Third Reich just crumbled under the sheer force of Soviet resistance.
Out of this chaos came the Soviet Guards. These weren’t just regular soldiers; they were the toughest, most battle-tested troops the Red Army had. This campaign dives into their story—their grit, their turning points, and how they helped bring down Nazi Germany.
The 1st Guards Elite Campaign is the first time Panzer Corps 2 lets you play the Soviets from their side of history. You’ll see how these elite units grew from early training to the brutal battles of Stalingrad and Kursk. Every scenario shows how they helped change the course of the war. The Germans hit hard and fast, so you have to think on your feet. If you want to survive, you’ll need to keep upgrading and reorganizing your units. You’ll fight all over Europe and beyond, squaring off against enemies from Spain, Japan, Italy, Romania, and, of course, Germany itself. The campaign’s timeline stretches from 1937 to 1945, so you get to see—and shape—the whole journey.
Everything’s grounded in real history. The story starts with the Soviet Voronezh Front and moves as it transforms into the 1st Ukrainian Front. There’s no “what if” here—just the real battles, exactly as they happened.
Gameplay sticks to what fans love about Panzer Corps, but it opens things up with huge maps, big armies, and plenty of room to try different strategies. Securing ground is still your main goal, true to the series’ roots.
If you want more of a challenge, each scenario comes with extra objectives. Knock those out, and you’ll earn special rewards—rare prototypes, unique Lend-Lease gear, that sort of thing. These side goals make things deeper without messing with the history.
You get nine scenarios: Lessons of War, Ending Stalemates, Born in Flames, Saturn on the Chir, Citadel Sortie, Heroes of the Soviet Union, Brody Cauldron, Oder Offensive, and Allies. Each one brings its own tactical puzzles and surprises. And if you hate racing the clock, you can even turn off the turn limits and play at your own pace.
HOW TO DOWNLOAD

- Once The Panzer Corps 2 Elite 1st Guards is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to Panzer Corps 2 Elite 1st Guards ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
- Open the Panzer Corps 2 Elite 1st Guards folder and run the exe application.
- Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
