MENACE throws you into a gritty, turn-based tactical RPG set deep in a wild star system, completely cut off from the Core Worlds. You’re in charge of a tough strike team—Republic marines, mercs, and a few criminals—trying to bring some order to the Wayback system.

It’s a place run by pirate warlords, crooked corporations, and governments that barely hold together. At first, it’s just a simple mission to calm things down, but it doesn’t stay routine for long. Pretty soon, you’re up against a threat nobody saw coming.

You call the shots. Planets send out distress calls, and you choose where to jump in, who you’re taking with you, and when to strike. These choices matter. They shape your connections with the locals, open up new intel, black market gear, repairs, and better tech. Every decision sends ripples—sometimes good, sometimes not—throughout the whole system. Missions aren’t just single skirmishes. They branch out and stack up—sometimes you’re sabotaging enemy air defenses so you can get your vehicles in, other times you’re pulling off hostage rescues to win the locals over, or going straight for the enemy’s base. Each move you make changes how it all plays out, both in the heat of the mission and across your whole campaign.

Your strike cruiser, the TCRN Impetus, is your home base on the move. This is where you handle upgrades, orbital support, squad recovery, and your bigger plans. How you kit out your cruiser shapes your whole play style and makes sure you’re ready for whatever comes next.

Combat in MENACE pulls no punches. Infantry squads, tanks, walkers, artillery—you’ll see it all, fighting across alien landscapes where weather and terrain actually matter. Suppression, flanking, busting up cover, weapon range—these things make the difference between life and death. And death’s for keeps. Lose a seasoned squad leader, and you lose their whole team. You’ll need to think on your feet.

Forget about steady supply drops. You’re cut off. Gear comes from what you find or what you buy from shady dealers—anything from cobbled-together pirate junk to high-end merc gear. Every fight’s a chance to get stronger, but you have to think ahead. Balancing armor, vehicles, weapons, and gadgets before each mission can be the difference between survival and disaster.

Your squad leaders aren’t just stats and faces. They’ve got their own stories, quirks, and struggles. What happens to them out there affects how they fight and grow. Sure, you can promote them and pick perks to match your tactics, but push them too hard and trauma can drag them down.

Every run through MENACE feels different. Missions are procedurally generated, your people change, and the tactical options never really repeat. You’re always up against tough odds, unpredictable enemies, and something much bigger lurking in the shadows. In the end, how you lead decides if the Wayback system gets a second chance—or gets swallowed by the MENACE for good.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD

Once The MENACE is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to MENACE ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the MENACE folder and run the exe application.
Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
