In Haunted: Village, you’re dropped right into a forgotten Anatolian village where the ground seems poisoned by old, wicked magic.

This is a first-person, story-heavy game that digs deep into Turkish and Islamic folklore—so don’t expect the usual Western horror clichés.

Instead, you get pulled into the strange, unsettling world of Turkic mythology. Wandering through the village’s pitch-black ruins, you’re forced to piece together a buried atrocity—a secret so dark it’s trapped the villagers’ souls and unleashed something hungry that hunts in the shadows. The gameplay goes way beyond just hiding or running. Here, “Curse-Breaking Mechanics” drive everything. Supernatural locks and twisted puzzles block your way, all tied to dark rituals.

You have to get your hands dirty—rummaging for protective talismans, digging through scattered notes, trying to make sense of odd symbols. Every bit matters if you want to break the curse at its roots.

The whole place is built to mess with your senses. Light is scarce. The only things you hear are creepy whispers and distant voices, so your nerves are shot from the start.

Once The Haunted Village is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to Haunted Village ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the Haunted Village folder and run the exe application.
Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
