Umbra is a first-person psychological horror adventure where survival depends on stealth, exploration, and solving mysterious puzzles. Hunted by the terrifying witch Umbra, you must escape a cursed village consumed by darkness before she captures you and seals your soul forever.

Armed with only a small flashlight and a mysterious book of clues, every step through the shadows becomes a fight for survival.

As you explore the abandoned village, you’ll investigate eerie locations, collect useful items, examine hidden clues, and combine objects to solve intricate puzzles. A mysterious journal serves as your guide, revealing cryptic hints and pieces of lore that gradually uncover the village’s dark history and help you unlock new paths forward. Your flashlight is your most valuable tool, illuminating the darkness while also providing a powerful flash that can temporarily drive away supernatural threats.

However, its battery is limited, forcing you to manage its use carefully. Strange black magic, haunted mirrors, and shadowy anomalies hide secrets throughout the village, rewarding players who take the time to explore every corner.

Umbra relentlessly stalks the streets, listening and watching for any sign of your presence. If you hear the unsettling sound of twisting roots, you’ll need to switch off your flashlight and hide before she discovers you. Meanwhile, ghostly specters patrol the village, instantly reacting to sources of light. If they spot you, quick thinking and a well-timed flashlight burst may be your only chance to escape.

Throughout your journey, mysterious cats appear to guide you during crucial moments, offering subtle hints that help you survive and solve the village’s many mysteries. Once The Escape from Umbra is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to Escape from Umbra ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the Escape from Umbra folder and run the exe application.
