Dark Switch drops you right into the heart of a dark fantasy world, building your city high up in the branches of a massive tree. Danger isn’t just out there—it’s in the creeping fog below, always threatening to drive your people mad and destroy everything you’ve worked for.

To keep your settlement safe, you’ll have to master light and fire, balancing your resources and keeping an eye on your people’s sanity.

You’re in charge, and your job isn’t easy. Every decision matters. You need to gather resources, research new tech, and piece together the secrets left behind by earlier settlers. Sometimes those secrets explain why they vanished. Sometimes they come with their own risks. Restore Your Island

The game’s a mix of city-building, tower defense, and exploration. Instead of spreading out on the ground, you’re stacking your city up—layer after layer—using zip lines and stairways to connect homes and factories scattered among the branches. Managing this vertical city means always thinking about efficiency and safety. Resources are tight, space is tighter, and the fog is always lurking, waiting for a mistake.

The fog isn’t just scenery. It’s alive in its own way—shrouding monsters and wearing down your people’s minds. Light is your shield. You’ll need to craft weapons powered by it, keep pathways lit, and harness a rare energy called Solium to keep the darkness back. Strategy and defense are what stand between survival and disaster.

But you won’t survive just by playing it safe. Exploration is key. You’ll send scouts into the unknown, uncover new pathways, and build risky outposts in search of rare supplies and artifacts. Sometimes you’ll stumble across strange creatures or the ruins of a lost civilization, gradually revealing the world’s backstory.

At the same time, the game weaves a strong narrative. Your decisions truly affect your people’s fates, often forcing you into tough moral territory. Small choices can spiral into big consequences, shaping different storylines and outcomes.

There’s a lot to dig into: over 20 hours in the main campaign, 80+ unique buildings, a range of resources and technologies to unlock, and a haunting soundtrack by Akira Yamaoka. Dark Switch pulls you in and doesn’t let go.

Open the DarkSwitch folder and run the exe application.
