GAME OVERVIEW

In Atomanta, you play as Taria Takara — she’s this badass space pirate trying to track down a super valuable artifact hidden on a planet called Azavuraz.

She’s flying around in her beast of a warship, the Atomic Manta, and if she pulls this off, she can finally pay off her debts and shake off the people who’ve been controlling her for way too long. So yeah, high stakes, cool ship, and a pirate with a score to settle. What’s not to love?

The game’s basically a retro-styled vertical shoot ’em up, clearly inspired by classic arcade and Mega Drive games from the ’90s — but it doesn’t feel slow or outdated at all. Back 3 Spooky

It’s got that fast-paced bullet hell vibe that keeps you on your toes, mixed with some crisp pixel art and banging synth music that really ties the whole aesthetic together.

It’s nostalgic, but also feels modern in how it plays. Plus, there’s a ranking system that actually rewards you for being aggressive, which gives it a bit of an arcade score-chaser feel too.

Gameplay-wise, it’s got eight different stages, and right from the start you get to pick one of three loadouts depending on your playstyle.

As you progress, you’ll find power-ups to boost your weapons, and you can even find secret weapons — up to fifteen of them — and discover alternate routes through the game. And don’t worry, if you die, you don’t lose all your power-ups, so it doesn’t feel too punishing.

There’s also this cool rail gun focus mode that helps line up shots, and bombs that can clear the whole screen and cancel enemy bullets. You can even boost bomb damage with hidden pickups, though those upgrades reset after each stage.

Once The Atomanta is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to Atomanta ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the Atomanta folder and run the exe application.
Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
