The Abyss Below drops you into the deep Pacific in 1997, alone in a cramped, creaking research sub. There’s a massive, unexplainable sonar reading—nothing anyone’s ever seen before—and you’re the one sent to check it out.

Each location you reach means carefully maneuvering close, scanning, and trying to figure out what’s really down here. Each successful scan uncovers a hint—another part of whatever’s lurking in the dark—while sending data topside. With every discovery, the uncertainty grows. It starts to seem like there’s something under the seafloor you were never meant to find.

As you push deeper, things start to fall apart. The radio gets weird; the signals don’t make sense. You find twisted structures and messier sonar returns.
