Fast forward to 2025, and X-Out is making a comeback, thanks to ININ and Ziggurat teaming up with the OG devs, Rainbow Arts. This isn’t just a lazy remaster—it’s a full-on remake, rebuilt from scratch and packed with upgrades.

The pixel art from back in the day? Yeah, it’s been reimagined with stunning high-res sprites, plus sick particle and lighting effects. Eight stages, enemies, bosses, ships, bullets—everything’s been given a glow-up.

Oh, and the iconic key art? That’s getting a modern makeover too, courtesy of Ogan Kandemiroglu, brother of the original artist, Celal Kandemiroglu.

The shop system’s back and better than ever. New pre-built load-outs let you dive straight into the action, and there are actual item descriptions now (finally!) to help you customize your fleet like a pro. Plus, they’ve finally labeled the weapon slots so you know what goes where.
