Ragnarok is here, and you’re caught in a never-ending time loop. Join Sunna and her Viking crew as they explore a fractured World Tree and aim to reach the top of Yggdrasil. In this roguelike city-builder, you’ll be setting up new settlements, building your deck, and gathering artifacts while exploring the nine realms of Norse Mythology. Can you handle the new dangers of this messed-up world and come out on top?

The Holt is your main hub, a customizable base where you can unlock new mechanics and permanent upgrades to help rebuild your tribe. Team up with a diverse group of Scions, each bringing unique playstyles, bonuses, and modifiers to each run.

With procedurally generated islands, encounters, and events, every expedition is different! Before each run, tweak your deck by adding or removing building cards to mix up the challenges and opportunities. A roguelike city-builder where every run counts: gather resources, upgrade your deck, and push further each time to reach the top of Yggdrasil! Meet a colorful cast of characters from Norse mythology, including deities, heroes, and beasts. Explore various biomes.

A cool drafting/deckbuilding hybrid system that shifts which buildings you can use each loop. A customizable hub called the Holt, where you can unlock permanent upgrades to boost your future runs and tweak your experience.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD

Wait for 5 seconds and then hit the blue ‘download now’ button. The download will start, so just hang tight.
Once The Roots of Yggdrasil is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to The Roots of Yggdrasil ” (You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the The Roots of Yggdrasil folder and run the exe application.
Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
