GAME OVERVIEW

Ages ago, the ancient gods got bored with their jobs. So they took the easy way out—they built this wild, all-powerful machine called the Hellscreen to decide who gets into heaven or hell. With that sorted, they figured they could finally kick back and relax.

The whole adventure takes about two or three hours, and, get this, one person made the entire game. You can play with a controller, and it runs just fine on the Steam Deck, so you can dive into the madness wherever you want.

Now you’re stuck in this creepy, monster-shaped body, and, lucky you, you’re the only one who can stop the Hellscreen from breaking reality itself. Table Battle Simulator

But nothing lasts forever. After thousands of years, the machine started falling apart—and that’s when things went sideways. Instead of sending you to a peaceful afterlife, it yanked you in at the moment you died, trapping you inside its bizarre, nightmarish world.

The gameplay does something really fresh. You have to use a mirror to spot things that are usually invisible—maybe an enemy sneaking up behind you, maybe a hidden message scrawled on the wall that points you in the right direction. Sometimes you’re forced to fire behind you, using the mirror to survive in the dark. It’s nothing like your typical shooter.

As you go, you’ll power up your weapons so you can smash through obstacles and wreck the ancient machines blocking your path. Charge at enemies while attacking, and you’ll deal double damage—super satisfying. Your main mission? Hunt down Soulcores. These rare items let you unlock and teleport to new, even stranger worlds.

If you can take down the broken Hellscreen and set things right, maybe—just maybe—you’ll finally escape and find your real resting place. Until then, it’s a fast, spooky ride. You’ll need your weapons, your wits, and that trusty mirror if you want to survive and save reality itself.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD

Click the Download button below and you’ll be redirected.
Wait for 5 seconds and then hit the blue ‘download now’ button. The download will start, so just hang tight.
Once The Hellscreen is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to Hellscreen ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the Hellscreen folder and run the exe application.
Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
