Combat now feels punchier and way more responsive. Parrying, takedowns, and melee brawls have all been tuned up for quicker and smoother action. Stealth and parkour flow better too—leaping from rooftops or slipping away after a raid feels effortless. When you hit the sea, you can trick out the Jackdaw with new gear, try out revamped naval combat, and use new firing modes to outgun rival ships as the threat ramps up.
All of this looks and sounds incredible, thanks to the latest Anvil engine. The world is richer than ever, with ray-traced graphics, Dolby Atmos, and just a ton of detail. You can wander sun-soaked islands, dense jungles, crowded harbors, and eerie shipwrecks, diving into new story missions starring fan favorites like Blackbeard and Stede Bonnet.
