GAME OVERVIEW

This 2D pixel art roguelike space shooter throws you into breakneck arcade battles, but there’s strategy, too—you’re always juggling limited resources, adapting to random levels, and squaring off against some seriously tough bosses. You’ll pilot your ship through the darkness, making every choice count.

Do you burn energy blasting enemies, or do you save it for the next wave? Each sector gets tougher, so you’re always on your toes.

You’re not stuck with one ship, either. Pick from over ten different spacecraft, all with their own playstyles and special moves. You want to fire off a massive mega-laser? Go for it. Or maybe you’d rather rescue stranded ships and form a whole fleet to fight alongside you. Each ship pushes you to try out new tactics, so things never get stale. Keepy UP

Every stage you enter is different. The game generates levels on the fly, cramming them with aggressive enemies, tight corridors, and bullet patterns that never quit. Bosses cap off each sector, and they don’t mess around—every one is a new test, and you’ve got to learn and adapt if you want to survive.

To help you out, your ship comes with a slow-motion system for combat. Hit the button and time slows down, letting you weave between bullets, dodge attacks, and squeeze through those claustrophobic spaces. But it’s not free—using slow-mo eats up energy, so you have to play aggressively and take out enemies to recharge it. Skill is always rewarded.

Progression is all about upgrades and customization. You’ll collect batteries and unlock over 250 different bullet modifiers that reshape how your weapons behave. Enemies sometimes drop temporary upgrade chips, while nearly 50 permanent ship upgrades let you boost your firepower, shorten charge times, extend your energy cable, turn invisible, and create some wild builds as you go deeper.

Retro pixel art ties everything together, and with levels that change every run, unique ships and abilities, deep upgrade trees, energy management, and those intense boss fights, it’s a roguelike that keeps you coming back. Master the combat and the strategy, or the dangers of deep space will get the best of you.

Once The HYPERWIRED is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to HYPERWIRED ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the HYPERWIRED folder and run the exe application.
Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
