GAME OVERVIEW
METRO QUESTER throws you into a post-apocalyptic Tokyo, where you’re crawling through dungeons in a world that feels pulled straight from a 1980s computer RPG—think classic, pixel-heavy design, but with plenty of modern mechanics mixed in. Kazushi Hagiwara’s influence is obvious, and everything, from the dripping ruins to the grimy menus, oozes that retro vibe with strategic twists.
At its heart, this game is all about exploring dungeons. You’re trudging through collapsed subway tunnels and forgotten underground bases, letting the map fill in as you push deeper. The auto-mapping helps, but you’ll still run up against busted walls, secret stashes, nests full of nasty creatures, and vaults that don’t give up their loot without a fight.
Survival isn’t just a buzzword—you actually have to worry about basics like food and a mysterious “Purification Fuel” that keeps you moving. The deeper you go, the better your chances of finding new allies or a safe place to regroup—but things never stay safe for long. Mini Tank Mayhem

Loot and progression drive you forward. Monsters might drop something decent, or you could stumble onto a stuffed safe tucked behind a crumbling wall. Some gear is just okay, but there are weapons and items out there that really change the game if you get lucky.
The best part? You can use your loot how you want. Maybe you slap it on to take bigger risks, break it down for rare resources, or upgrade it into something unique. That choice adds a little more depth than just button-mashing through fights.
Speaking of combat, it’s not just a simple trade of blows. Every turn gives you a handful of Action Points to spend however you want—attack, defend, use skills, you name it—but so do the enemies.
Turns can overlap, so you need to think a couple moves ahead, tracking the order and keeping an eye on “Hate” levels that tell enemies who to chase. This sets up smart plays: pulling threats away from fragile characters, chaining together powerful attacks, or just barely dodging disaster.
If you’re after a game that really nails the atmosphere of old-school dungeon crawlers but amps up the strategy, METRO QUESTER has you covered. It’s challenging and alive with secrets, letting you dig in deep, tweak your team, and pull off clever battles as the world falls apart around you.
