GAME OVERVIEW

GRIME II just dropped yesterday, March 31, 2026, and fans were seriously waiting for this one. The sequel takes a sharp turn from the weird “black hole-headed” main character in the original—now you play as The Formless.

Clover Bite made it, Kwalee published, and the game leans even harder into the anatomical horror vibe. Everything is stranger and brighter: the world’s built out of painted nails, huge vases, and civilizations obsessed with oddball art.

Instead of only absorbing breath, your power as an art mimic is all about stealing shapes. You parry and grab enemies with weird hand-tendrils, steal their essence, and turn them into Molds. Aether & Iron

These Molds are pretty much your best tools—you can call up defeated creatures and use their forms to attack, fire off projectiles, or even summon helpers for fighting and solving puzzles.

The Mold System lets you turn any enemy you defeat into a tactical advantage. You’re not just hitting harder—some molds stun enemies, help you reach places you couldn’t before, or trigger environmental stuff.

The game really pushes you to use your surroundings to fight: smashing floors, thorny vines, random heavy objects. But you gotta watch out, because enemies (even bosses) aren’t shy about using all that against you.

Customization is wild this time. You can tweak your Formless character with a ton of gear—over 30 weapons, 60 armor sets, plus 12 unique abilities. Maybe you want to build for countering attacks, or go full-on with summons.

The world feels lived-in and surreal. Every area has its own flavor, packed with strange cultures and quirky characters to meet. There’s no single path—the game wants you to explore, get lost, and poke into every colorful corner for surprises and story bits.

Once The GRIME II is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to GRIME II ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the GRIME II folder and run the exe application.
Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
