GAME OVERVIEW
Crabmeat drops you right into the frozen grip of Antarctica, where isolation feels like it’s closing in on all sides. The setup is simple but unforgiving: you’re a prisoner, deep in debt to the authoritarian “Feudostate,” and your family’s fate hangs in the balance.
You get seven days—no more, no less—to haul up enough of the rare Southern King Crab or lose everything. Alone on a government boat, you swing between hunting for crabs and trying not to freeze, while the possibility of exile—or a toxin capsule ending it all—never really leaves your mind.
Frantically, you’re jumping from steering the boat to patching things up with a blowtorch, sorting out your catch, and tossing the small crabs before someone notices. Every move is manual, and the stress just builds. Village Merchant

Nicholas McDonnell and Mitchell Pasmans released this game on March 10, 2026, and it’s not your usual horror fare. Everything happens through a clever point-and-click system, but from a first-person view. You don’t need anything but a mouse, but don’t think that makes things easy.
But the real nightmare? It’s not the cold or the failing machinery. It’s what’s lurking in the black water. Mutated sea creatures—denizens, they’re called—find their way on board. Sometimes they wreck your equipment, sometimes they come right for you, and you’re left scrambling for an axe or shotgun to survive. No cheap jump scares here.
It’s all about the relentless pressure and the eerie quiet, with that crunchy PS2 visual style that fans keep talking about. Players love how the tough controls crank up the sense of helplessness—a perfect match for the main character’s bleak situation.
By late March, the game earned a Very Positive rating on Steam. People are digging through secret notes from other doomed workers, bracing for boss fights against monster crabs, and facing the steady rhythm of hard labor where every day could be your last. There’s nothing flashy or overblown—just work, survival, and dread, mixed together until the two are impossible to tell apart.
