GAME OVERVIEW

SUBSUMED drops you into a short-to-mid-length horror game where you’re cave diving—and the fear really sneaks up on you. The deeper you crawl into this flooded maze, the more the tension builds.

You’re searching for three missing divers, piecing together scraps of their story as the cave just keeps pulling you in. Every twist feels risky. You can’t shake the feeling that something’s waiting right around the next bend.

Instead of cheap jumpscares, the game leans into atmosphere and sound. Drips, echoes, those weird noises behind your back—they get under your skin and mess with your head. You start second-guessing every move in that pitch-black tunnel. Calyx

Moving around isn’t easy or comfortable. You have to crawl and twist slowly, and you never really forget that something might be right behind you. The cave squeezes you, and with barely any room to move, even the smallest space feels threatening. You’re always on edge.

Your flashlight? Honestly, it’s not much help. It barely lights up a few feet in front of you, with darkness just crowding in from every side. You never know what’s lurking just out of sight—or watching you from the shadows.

A playthrough usually lasts about 30 minutes to an hour. But there’s more than one ending and a bunch of hidden details, so you’ll want to dive back in. Take different routes, make new choices—each run can change how the whole story plays out.

You see the world through your own eyes, totally first-person, and there’s no standard movement controls. Instead, you drag yourself forward with the cursor, pulling your way through the cave. Mark your progress on whiteboards so you don’t get lost, snap photos of anything odd—because sometimes, you can’t make it back, and all you have left is the evidence you found.

Once The SUBSUMED is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to SUBSUMED ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the SUBSUMED folder and run the exe application.
Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
