GAME OVERVIEW
Weird RPG 2 shakes up the usual third-person action RPG formula. It leans hard into skill-based combat and gives you plenty of freedom to play your way. The game feels fresh—easy enough for newcomers to jump in, but there’s enough depth to keep seasoned players hooked.
Combat here lives and dies by the parry. You can tell it takes some cues from Sekiro, but it ditches the usual Souls-like frustration.
No harsh death penalties, and the timing for parries feels forgiving, so you actually want to keep learning instead of rage-quitting. The Gold River Project
You’ll spend your time hunting monsters, grabbing loot, exploring maps, and facing off against bosses that really test your skills. There’s a wild variety of weapons, gear, and items, so you can mess around with all sorts of builds and playstyles as you go.
One standout feature: the transformation system. You get to pick—stick with fair, skill-based duels, or flip the switch and become a powerhouse, blasting out huge attacks and gunfire to wipe out anything in your way.
There’s also voice-controlled magic. Seriously. You grab a mic, shout your spells, and watch them go off in-game. It’s weird, immersive, and not something you see in most action RPGs.
The world itself? Full of the unexpected. Strange monsters, odd discoveries, challenges that pop up out of nowhere—every new area feels like a surprise. You can’t really zone out; the game keeps you on your toes.
All of this comes from just one developer, who spent four years pulling it together. Weird RPG 2 is packed with creativity and personality—a real one-of-a-kind action RPG, balancing accessibility, clever ideas, and a lot of heart.
