GAME OVERVIEW

Rising Front throws you right into the thick of massive, chaotic battles that feel straight out of history. You can jump in, fight on the ground in first person, or zoom out and take charge of the whole army, moving your troops around from above. It’s all here—infantry, tanks, cavalry, planes, artillery—everyone’s fighting at once, and it gets wild fast.

Vehicles really shake things up. There are more than a dozen tanks and other machines to use, including some wild prototypes that never actually made it to the real battlefields of World War I. These vehicles keep you guessing and add a fresh twist to old-school combat.

Use air attacks to smash enemy lines, save your own troops, or just turn the whole fight upside down when you need it most.

Cavalry isn’t just a sideshow, either. You can charge right into battle on horseback with hundreds of other riders, picking from more than 20 different cavalry units. The game dips into everything from World War I to the Revolutionary War and the Franco-Prussian War, so you’re not just stuck with trench warfare—there’s a real mix of styles.

The sheer size of these battles is something else. You’ll see over a thousand units clashing at once, whether you’re reliving the muddy chaos of WWI or the tight, disciplined formations of earlier wars. Not many games go this big.

Rising Front packs in a ton of extra details too: real tactics from history, brutal artillery fights, AI you can command, procedural cover, rag-doll physics, and even a building system so you can set up defenses on the fly. Plus, with full Steam Workshop support, you can make or download new maps, units, vehicles, weapons—just about anything. The result? A battlefield that’s always changing, always ready for one more fight.

Once The Rising Front is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to Rising Front ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the Rising Front folder and run the exe application.
Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
