It’s time for the rats… to WAR! This game blends sidescrolling roguelite shooting with tower defense and a dash of RPG progression, wrapped in a hand-drawn, gore-soaked, rat-packed 2D looter-shooter that channels the brutal spirit of 90s gaming.

Set in a world where rats are the only surviving lifeform, you lead your scrappy armies in a desperate fight to reclaim the land of Ratopia from TechnoRat—a single hive-mind built from cyborg rats obsessed with devouring all flesh and transforming it into metal.

Drawing inspiration from Kingdom: New Lands and the classic Precinct Assault mode from Futurecop LAPD—often considered the first true MOBA—this game delivers constant, bloody action through lovingly crafted hand-drawn art and animation. Astroneer Megatech

With loads of weapons, enemies, and loot to uncover, you’ll manage and battle alongside your rat soldiers as you push back the mechanical swarm and fight your way into the enemy’s base. It sounds simple, but the challenge is anything but.

The game already includes a full single-player campaign, Horde Mode, New Game+ for endless replayability, a customizable Rats Nest base, Skirmish Mode, 22 weapons, over 20 rat units, 12 unique maps, difficulty options—including the punishing Iron Rat mode and friendly fire—and extensive player customization with more than a thousand skin combinations. And yes… there are rats everywhere. All over your faaaace.

Combat is fast, brutal, and strategic, throwing you into relentless 2D firefights against waves of enemies. Roguelike progression drives you forward as you fight through district after district on your way to TechnoRat HQ, spending your hard-earned CHz to strengthen your attributes after each death.

You won’t survive alone—recruiting and deploying troops at the right moment can make or break a battle. Credits earned in combat can be spent at the rat dealer to buy new weapons and gear, giving you the edge you need as foes grow stronger and stranger the closer you get to the final showdown.

Defending your base becomes just as important as fighting on the front lines. Turrets, shrines, walls, generators, and missile launchers are all tools you can build to counter the overwhelming TechnoRat forces. Difficulty can be tailored to your liking, from friendly-fire settings to multiple difficulty levels and selectable starting weapons.
