GAME OVERVIEW
Alright, if you’re even a little into trains or just love chill but detailed simulators, Train Sim World 6 is seriously worth checking out. It’s more than just driving trains — it’s about learning how to handle all kinds of situations while cruising through some insanely cool routes across the US, UK, and Germany.
From older trains to high-tech electric ones, you’ll be unlocking new skills and taking on whatever the tracks throw at you. And yeah — they mean it when they say Expect the Unexpected.
Let’s start in New Jersey. You get to dive into NJ TRANSIT’s electrified network with the Morristown Line. It’s all about weaving through the suburbs and racing between the Big Apple and Dover in classic Arrow III EMUs or running full-size trains with ALP-46s and Multilevel cars. Letters of War
If you go for the Deluxe Edition, you also get to mess with the ALP-45DP — a hybrid beast that’s just a blast to drive on those busy commuter routes.
Then there’s the English Riviera — probably one of the prettiest train routes ever. You’re driving along the coast, through the hills of Devon, and right next to the sea wall. It’s proper scenic. You get to drive GWR’s Class 802 and the classic Sprinter (Class 150/2). Deluxe players can also hop in the BR Class 220 from CrossCountry and go on longer journeys across the coast.
And if you’re into German engineering, the Leipzig to Dresden route is straight fire. It’s based on the oldest long-distance railway in Germany, and you’re flying down it with ICE-T trains, BR 442s, freight hauls, and more. Deluxe Edition adds the DB BR 294, so you can do classic diesel shunting in the yards and haul your own custom trains across the line.
But what really makes TSW6 stand out is the random events and immersion. Like, stuff happens. Your signals might delay, your train might have a fault, and you’ve got to actually react and deal with it. You’ll hear proper announcements on platforms and in the trains, and there’s way more crowd/pax chatter now too. It just feels alive.
You also get a ton of freedom to play how you want. There’s Free Roam mode, where you can go wherever with whatever train, and Route Hopping lets you switch things up mid-journey.
Conductor Mode is sick if you want to chill — you check tickets, open/close doors, and just vibe with the scenery while doing your job. It’s a nice break from all the high-pressure driving.
HOW TO DOWNLOAD

- Once The Train Sim World® 6 is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to Train Sim World® 6 ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
- Open the Train Sim World® 6 folder and run the exe application.
- Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
