GAME OVERVIEW

SGS Spain at War Free Download is a full-on standalone strategy game that lets you dive into the Spanish Civil War, running from July 1936 to April 1939.

The game kicks off right at the start of the conflict—July 18th, 1936—and each turn moves the war forward by a week. If you’re playing as the Nationalists, your job is to bring in those elite troops from Africa, grab key cities fast, and push the Republic into surrender. Crystal matrix

If you’re the Republican player, it’s all about holding them off early on while you scramble to build the Popular Army and gear up for the long fight ahead.

The game’s design is backed by Miguel Santacruz, the guy behind España: 1936 and Battles for Spain. With the help of the SGS team and loads of research and source material, they’ve made sure this game feels historically spot-on.

You can jump into a massive grand campaign that covers the entire war, or try out some shorter, more focused scenarios like the Battle of the Ebro or the Northern Front. There’ll also be some cool “what if” setups for players who want to explore alternate outcomes.
