Take Episode Two: Northgate Mall. Here, you’re Dylan Miller, a night guard stuck watching over a half-shuttered shopping mall. At first, it’s just the usual boring stuff—keeping an eye on glitchy security cameras, radioing the office, wandering empty halls. But as the night drags on, the place shifts.

What felt familiar turns strange and off. Little things start piling up: broken signals, weird noises, shadows that shouldn’t be there in a building that’s supposed to be locked tight.

Gameplay keeps you grounded in the moment. It’s a narrative-driven walking sim, so you’re right there in Dylan’s shoes, poking around, texting other characters on your in-game phone, and dealing with whatever comes your way. There’s a twist, too: the game listens to your real-world microphone.

If you make a sound, it can ramp up the tension or even change what happens to Dylan. The whole thing is meant to be played in one go—a short, sharp shot of dread.
