GAME OVERVIEW

Unterholz Free Download takes place in medieval Pomerania at the end of the 15th century, but it’s not exactly our version of reality. It’s an alternate version, where you explore a creepy, isolated swamp filled with old ruins that tell the story of a cursed place.

Your job figure out why the people there disappeared while going on a psychological trip that messes with your head and forces you to face the darkness—not just of the swamp, but of your own mind. Tavern Talk: Tempest Tantrum

The game is designed to be a short, but super immersive experience there are a few swordfights and puzzles to solve, but the main thing is figuring out what happened to the people of this lost settlement the story unfolds naturally as you explore, with the world around you telling most of the tale. It’s not a totally linear game—you can wander and uncover things at your own pace in this semi-open world.

What makes “Unterholz” stand out is how smooth the gameplay is. There are no menus or loading screens to break the vibe when you’re checking your inventory or reading something. It uses both traditional and in-world interfaces to keep you fully immersed the sound and music are designed to mess with your feelings, setting a tense mood as you make your way through the creepy woods.

Open the Unterholz folder and run the exe application.
