Ever wanted to just wipe the slate clean after a disaster you can’t fix? In this game, you actually get that chance. You’re dropped into a gigantic, universe-spanning machine built for one wild purpose: rebooting reality itself after everything goes off the rails.

You’ll take the reins of an artificial intelligence called HAWKING and wander through this massive system that keeps existence running, getting it ready for something called TOTAL RELOAD.

Each area has its own energy sources scattered around, but they don’t just hand themselves over. A lot of these power nodes are tucked away in weird, tricky spots, and you’ll have to get creative—rerouting energy, activating hidden platforms, tripping sensors, opening sealed doors—to pull everything into one working network.

If you want to make progress, you need to start “thinking with wires.” You’ll temporarily power up different gadgets and systems, opening up routes you couldn’t reach before. The puzzles here don’t just stick to one answer. You learn to play with the rules of physics, experimenting with how energy flows through the world and figuring out your own solutions.

The way the story unfolds isn’t your usual thing. You’re in charge of HAWKING’s body, but its mind? It knows you’re there, and it’s not just along for the ride. The AI talks to you via on-screen text, sometimes questioning what you’re doing, sometimes turning the spotlight inward and wondering about its own existence. In some spots, you’ll find strange symbols. Scan them and you can piece together questions—basically, you get to poke at HAWKING’s thoughts directly.

At its heart, TOTAL RELOAD is a science-fiction story that digs into isolation, the urge to set impossible challenges for yourself, and the endless chase for ultimate knowledge. But there’s more behind the puzzles and machines—a hidden metaphor for the struggles of creativity itself. You’ll spot little nods to real art and ideas, with hints of Muse’s music and the spirit of Robert Heinlein woven in if you’re paying attention.

Once The Total Reload is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to Total Reload ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the Total Reload folder and run the exe application.
Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
