GAME OVERVIEW

In The Walking Trade, the end of the world isn’t really the end—it’s just a chance for you to cash in. The game dropped on March 5, 2026, and it’s a wild mashup of store management and survival action that turns the whole zombie apocalypse thing on its head.

Forget about hiding in some musty bunker. Here, your main goal is to build the go-to shop for whatever’s left of civilization. That means figuring out how to squeeze every bit of profit from your shelves while making sure your customers—and your stock—don’t get eaten before they even pay.

Every day is a split between hustling and holding the line. When the sun’s up, you’re stocking shelves, setting prices, and dealing with a bunch of jumpy survivors. DYSPLACED

You can play nice—helping out with fair deals and handing out meds—or you can go full villain, gouge prices, and mess with rival shops to wipe out the competition.

But your choices stick with you. If you run a greedy, cutthroat store, you’ll pull in the rich raiders, but don’t be surprised if you’re on your own when the next horde smashes through your front windows.

Keeping your store running means building a crew. Everyone’s got their strengths: some are scavengers who’ll brave Dead Zones to bring back rare parts, others are better with shotguns, guarding the register when things get ugly.

After each raid, you’ll hit up your Crafting Stations, turning piles of junk into stronger weapons or boosting your shop with things like automated turrets and steel-reinforced shutters. In The Walking Trade, survival’s not just about making it through the night—it’s about keeping business booming, no matter what the world throws at you.

Once The The Walking Trade is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to The Walking Trade ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the The Walking Trade folder and run the exe application.
Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
