You play a specialist investigator, hunting down “The Ratline,” a shadowy network that helps war criminals escape, snaking its way from Rome’s back alleys all the way to the busy, sunlit streets of Buenos Aires. Project Castaway

The game isn’t here to hold your hand. Instead, it throws you into a “deduction sandbox,” demanding that you think like a real detective.

No guided steps. Just stacks of authentic documents, old photographs, and artifacts from the era—your job is to pore over every clue, connect the dots, and figure out who these criminals are and how they’ve managed to hide for so long.

You move across continents, work your sources, shake down contacts, and build your own cases from scratch. The challenge isn’t just about puzzles—it’s all about trusting your gut and spotting the lies buried in history.

Right now, The Ratline runs only on PC (Steam), and you’ll need a mouse and keyboard to really dig into the investigations. Its debut version brings cloud saves and crisp high-res visuals to show off every detail, making that old-school analog style pop.
