GAME OVERVIEW
Imagine cruising across massive waves of sand and glowing waters on a mission to bring back a lost ocean—yeah, that’s Sword of the Sea. It’s from the same genius mind behind ABZÛ, The Pathless, and Journey, so you already know it’s gonna be a beautiful, emotional ride.
This one’s all about an atmospheric surfing adventure, with a Hoversword that feels like a mix of skateboarding, snowboarding, and surfing rolled into one.
The gameplay is pure flow. You’re carving through dunes on the Hoversword, building crazy speed, catching big air, and pulling off wild tricks like flips, spins, and grabs. The terrain feels like a skatepark made of waves—halfpipes, ramps, and wall rides everywhere. Project X Light Years
It balances that hyped-up, adrenaline action with a calm, meditative vibe where every move feels smooth and satisfying.
But it’s not just about tricks—it’s the world itself. The land literally moves like waves, from massive sandy tides to tiny ripples.
You play as the Wraith, brought back to life in the ruins of a Necropolis, on a mission to reveal the ocean buried under the desert. Along the way, you’ll find the remains of a lost culture hidden in ancient tombs and skatepark-like ruins.
As you ride, you’ll literally bring the sea back to life—turning dunes into shimmering waters, watching sea creatures return, and feeling the spiritual magic of surfing. But of course, not everything is chill… dark forces are waiting beneath those waves.
And just like Giant Squid’s other games, the art and music hit different. With Matt Nava’s incredible art direction and Austin Wintory’s emotional soundtrack, Sword of the Sea isn’t just a game—it’s an experience.
HOW TO DOWNLOAD

- Wait for 5 seconds and then hit the blue ‘download now’ button. The download will start, so just hang tight.
- Once The Sword of the Sea is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to Sword of the Sea ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
- Open the Sword of the Sea folder and run the exe application.
- Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
