Neck Stiffness puts you right in Noele’s shoes—a small-town cop battling chronic pain and a job that’s getting stranger by the day. It dropped on April 2, 2026, and the story unfolds in those chilly, late-autumn days.

You’ll find yourself doing stuff that feels half-normal, like rescuing AI dogs stuck in trees, but then things get weird fast with a toy factory strike and creepy, cursed dolls showing up in an abandoned tower.

Everything revolves around Noele’s decisions. Her detective work keeps her busy, but the real challenge lies in dealing with complicated, sometimes flat-out bizarre relationships that make her face her emotional baggage—and a shadowy figure called “The Flayer.” Wasteland Bites

The game isn’t short. You’ve got more than 100,000 words of story to chew through, wrapped in a paper-craft visual style that’s equal parts nostalgia and slick tech.

There are four major routes with three possible love interests: Nil, a laid-back art lecturer who likes to experiment; Will, a massage therapist who’s full of surprises and happens to be visually impaired; and Grace, Noele’s driven ex who recently came back into her life.

An AI dog sticks by your side throughout, keeping things interesting as you switch between detective work and relationship drama over two to five hours of gameplay. The choices you make steer you toward one of seven endings, though nothing’s tied up neatly—romances are messy and real.

This isn’t your typical feel-good game. It digs deep into trauma, LGBTQ+ identity, and mental health, all set against a world that doesn’t make survival easy. Nobody here is perfect. Anxiety, religious tension, and flawed personalities drive the narrative, brought to life with over 100 expressive CG illustrations.

And once you finish the main story, a “New Game Plus” unlocks more content right from the start, letting you dive even deeper into Noele’s past and unravel the truth behind the people she meets.
