GAME OVERVIEW

This is a story-driven horror walking sim with a laid-back vibe, light action, and some quirky stealth. You’re not grinding through tough fights or crazy puzzles here — just exploring, chatting with folks, and letting the story unfold at its own pace. It’s pretty short, too. You’ll get through it in about two hours.

You play as Tsutomu, a salaryman who’s just burned out. Work’s beaten him down, and even his ramen blog — something he’s kept going for ages — has almost fizzled out.

One night, totally spent, he stumbles over to a ramen stall near the station and decides to go wild on toppings. He doesn’t know about the creepy rumor floating around: apparently, if you ask for six toppings, you vanish. Fast food RAGE

Of course, Tsutomu orders all six. That’s when things get weird. He runs into Susumu, a ramen streamer, and together they get tangled up in the town’s dark ramen-laced history. Turns out, there’s some kind of bad karma connected to ramen here — the kind that started way back in the Heian period and hasn’t let go. As the past seeps into the present, things start to spiral into something truly unsettling.

Gameplay is all about relaxed exploring, talking with characters, and just living the story. It’s a horror game, sure, but it doesn’t lean on jump scares or nonstop tension. Instead, it feels grounded in everyday life — just with an undercurrent of something off. Dialogue drives most of it, fleshing out the characters and their connections. The Japanese text even comes with furigana, so it’s easy to follow along.

Here and there, you’ll get a bit of action or a simple puzzle to break things up. Once you finish the story, you unlock a standalone challenge mode. If you like side stuff, there’s a hidden collectible thing called Barrel Collecting, but you can ignore it if you want.

Streaming and creating videos is totally fine — whether you’re solo or a company. Just put “Shoyu Ramen FOREVER” in your title and link the Steam page somewhere people can see it. Ads, donations, and subs are fair game.

But yeah, don’t include harassment, discrimination, abuse, illegal stuff, or anything out of line. The devs aren’t on the hook for problems people run into with uploaded content, and these rules might shift without warning.

You’ll find a logo PNG in the game files. You can use it for stream or video thumbnails, but that’s it. No editing, redistributing, or using it elsewhere.
