GAME OVERVIEW

Shields of Loyalty is basically a dark fantasy strategy game with that old-school turn-based vibe — but juiced up with modern mechanics and a 2D world that looks like it jumped straight out of a genre classic.

You get to choose between two badass commanders, each with their own style. Aglovan the Noble is this intimidating cavalry boss who thrives on quick, heavy strikes and rallying a mixed army with his aura.

Then there’s Warlord Karnoth, a savage barbarian who prefers raw power — leading tanky infantry and flying units to just steamroll enemies. Train your soldiers, pick up artifacts to beef them up even more, and unlock special skills that can turn a fight around if you time them right. Whisker Wanderlust The Wondrous Journey

The strategy runs deep here. Each commander — and even your recruited heroes — comes with unique auras that can tip the scales in your favor. You’ll be freeing legendary warriors, stacking your formations for max advantage, and grouping units into squads to take on massive enemies without getting wiped out.

You’re dropped into Mantaria, an island world crawling with danger, and it’s your job to lead your army from one brutal battle to the next until you’ve secured victory.

You’ll also be moving through different biomes, each throwing its own curveballs. The Darkwoods is all tangled forests, swamps, and rocky terrain, while Eternal Ice is a frozen deathtrap full of nasty hazards. On top of that, the environment itself can just decide to wreck your day — random lightning strikes, storms, and meteor showers hit both sides equally, so you’ve gotta adapt fast.

Replayability is huge — your choices change which levels you unlock and which ones stay hidden, so you’ll want to run through the campaign more than once to see everything.

And since it’s still in Early Access, there’s more coming, like the Lava Desert biome (hot, deadly, and chaotic) and a new commander with fresh skills and tactics. Keep an eye on the Steam updates for when they drop the new stuff.

Once The Shields of Loyalty is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to Shields of Loyalty ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the Shields of Loyalty folder and run the exe application.
Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
