GAME OVERVIEW

Check out SGS Overlord, yo! It’s a standalone game all about WW2 operations in Normandy, kicking off from June 6th, 1944, rolling right through till the end of August when things should be wrapping up. Harvest Island.

As the Germans, you gotta keep that frontline tight to give the Reich a fighting chance. Every week you hold out could be a game-changer for survival. On the flip side, as the Allied commander, you’re in charge of rallying American, Canadian, British, and French troops to snag a solid foothold and then bust outta Normandy towards Paris and beyond, maybe even wrapping up the whole shebang by Christmas.

The game’s all about recreating the epic phases of the Normandy battle. You can dive into a full-on grand campaign covering the whole deal or jump into shorter scenarios from different starting points like the Grand Campaign, Bocage, Race for Cherbourg, or Operation Cobra.

We’re talking brigades and divisions duking it out, with air support and naval action thrown in for the Allies. And don’t worry, both sides are equally playable and fun once you figure out their strengths and weaknesses. Detailed scenario info’s there to get you up to speed.

You can play as the Germans, with their quality troops and killer defensive positions, or take charge of the Allies with their massive air support and numbers advantage. But watch out, those Germans know how to use the terrain to their advantage, so it’s gonna be a wild ride!

HOW TO DOWNLOAD

Once The SGS Overlord is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to The SGS Overlord ” (You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the The SGS Overlord folder and run the exe application.
Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
