GAME OVERVIEW

ROUTINE throws you into the middle of a sci-fi horror story, right on an abandoned lunar base that looks like someone in the 1980s dreamed it up.

At first, you’re just poking around, curious. Then, the silence gets heavier, and things start to spiral. The lights cut out. Now you’re in the dark, looking for answers, but every step just drags you deeper into trouble. The only way out? Keep moving forward, even if you have no idea what’s waiting.

Don’t expect glowing arrows or helpful markers to guide you. ROUTINE wants you to get lost, to slow down and really look at where you are. Navigation isn’t just about getting from point A to point B—it’s part of the tension, and every clue you spot actually matters. Hi-Fi RUSH

You’ll wander through all sorts of places: busted-up living quarters, tram stations swallowed by shadows, even a creepy, long-abandoned mall. Each spot feels different. Each one is unsettling in its own way, and you never know what’s lurking around the corner.

Pay attention. Seriously. Every little detail could help you piece together what went wrong here. The story doesn’t shout at you—it’s scattered around in old documents, broken equipment, and the way the environment just feels off.

ROUTINE keeps things immersive. You see your own body, hear every sound right where it belongs, and the minimal interface never pulls you out of the moment. The whole thing feels real—dangerously real.

Your main tool is the Cosmonaut Assistance Tool, or C.A.T. You’ll depend on it for just about everything: cracking terminals, messing with the environment, and—if you’re cornered—defending yourself. Sometimes you’ll have to run. Sometimes you’ll have to hide. But you’ll always have to survive, because something out there is hunting you.

Once The ROUTINE is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to ROUTINE ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the ROUTINE folder and run the exe application.
Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
