GAME OVERVIEW

Plus Ultra: Legado is this sick 2D Metroidvania game set in 16th-century Mexico, right when everything started kicking off between Europe and the Americas.

You’re basically thrown into the middle of it all — old-school vibes, but with epic gameplay.

What makes this one really stand out is that it’s not just a Metroidvania — it’s a “comicvania”. We started thinking: what if a Metroidvania played out like a comic book? So we ran with that idea. Bye Sweet Carole

Like any good Metroidvania, you’ve got tight platforming, big maps to explore, awesome boss fights, and power-ups that help you access new areas. But we weren’t happy with just doing what everyone else does.

We really wanted to shake things up — make it faster, smoother, and more fun to just move around. Traversal here feels awesome. You’re not just running back and forth; you’re dashing, jumping, and flying through the world without it ever getting boring.

And the storytelling? Man, it’s built into the game, not slapped on top. Characters talk, but you’re not stuck standing there waiting for them to finish. You can move, jump, even break the speech bubbles if you want to skip ahead.
