Here’s what’s new with HexBreaker II (鎮邪II), which dropped on March 5, 2026. If you played the first game, you’ll remember the gritty solo adventure—but this time, everything’s bigger. Lingxu Studio turned the sequel into a full-blown supernatural co-op, and it’s all soaked in Chinese folklore and Taoist mythology.

The world’s a mess, torn apart by warlords, and when things fall apart up here, the underworld isn’t far behind. Suddenly, spirits are everywhere.

You play as a young Taoist, stepping out from your sect and wandering across ruined tombs and shipwrecks, piecing together secrets that have been buried for ages. Rotwood

The heart of the game beats with real Taoist rituals and a seriously deep “spiritual magic” system. You’re not just swinging swords around—think ringing bells to stun spirits, chanting spells mid-fight, and throwing down talismans that actually matter.

Talismans let you call down lightning, throw up barriers, or even raise the dead to fight for you. And if you like a little risk with your reward, the “grave robbing” system lets you dive into dangerous ruins, dodging traps to score ancient loot and better gear.

Now, with 4-player online co-op, you need your friends more than ever. Surviving wave after wave of ghosts means you’ll want to specialize—maybe you’re the barrier expert, someone else is dropping fire everywhere, and you’ve got a teammate who’s the go-to for disabling traps.

Whether you’re battling creepy paper effigies or bosses with way too many forms, HexBreaker II keeps you on your toes. It’s a fight to hang on to your principles—because in this world, good and evil get seriously tangled.

Once The HexBreaker Ⅱ is downloaded, right-click the .zip file and select “Extract to HexBreaker Ⅱ ”(You’ll need 7-Zip for this, get it here).
Open the HexBreaker Ⅱ folder and run the exe application.
Have a blast playing! Remember to run the game as administrator. If you get any missing dll errors, check for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install all the programs in there.
