Death Stranding 2: On The Beach takes the “Social Strand System” from America and drops it in the wilds of Australia.

It’s out tomorrow—March 19, 2026—and it’s the PC version from Kojima Productions, put together with Nixxes Software’s help.

This sequel picks up eleven months after the first game. Sam Porter Bridges is back, joining DRAWBRIDGE, a civilian outfit, to extend the Chiral Network across Australia. Sam’s also wrestling with the big question: should humanity have even reconnected? Whispers of the Eyeless

Gameplay’s gotten a serious overhaul. You’re freer to explore, make choices, and try new tactics. Australia isn’t just another map—it’s alive, changing day and night, hit by earthquakes, sandstorms, forest fires, and always looming Timefall. Combat and stealth now feel way closer to Metal Gear Solid V.

You can go loud, taking on Mech troops and new BTs with an expanded arsenal, or sneak past using decoy holograms and silent takedowns. As you build monorails and use specialized gear, other players’ bridges, ladders, and lockers pop up in your game, helping you out when the haul gets heavy.

The PC port isn’t holding back. You get full support for NVIDIA DLSS 4, AMD FSR 4, and Intel XeSS 2, so visuals and framerates are top-notch. It’s got super-ultrawide monitor support for incredible views of Australia.

There’s a “Very High+” graphics mode, with ray-traced reflections and ambient occlusion for the show-off factor. Plus, the new “to the wilder” difficulty goes live alongside the PC release—a hard-as-nails mode for veteran Porters who want a real challenge.
