**DATE A LIVE** is a super popular light novel series from Fujimi Fantasia Bunko, and it’s also got an anime series that’s been killing it. The latest season, DATE A LIVE V, dropped in April 2024.

This boy-meets-girl story, crafted by Koushi Tachibana and illustrated by Tsunako, has blown up both in Japan and internationally, selling over six million copies worldwide! The Rogue Prince of Persia

The plot kicks off thirty years after Earth gets wrecked by spacequakes caused by mysterious entities called Spirits. Shido Itsuka, a regular high school student, runs into a Spirit who’s pretty fed up with humanity. Turns out, Shido’s sister, Kotori, spills that he has this insane power to seal Spirits’ powers away.

Here’s the kicker: to seal a Spirit’s powers, Shido has to date her and make her fall for him!
